Well I have o-fish-ally (One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish pun)wrapped up my Dr. Seuss lesson plans in speech therapy. I refuse to take down my door decor. The Sneetch took forever to trace and I love the Sneetch rhymes with speech. She will be reappearing every March for Dr. Seuss day. Also, I have one more Dr. Seuss freebie on my TeachersPayTeachers (TPT) website. Download it here. It is a rhyming activity that can be used for sentence formulation, Memory, and Go Fish.

Dr. Seuss Day
I absolutely love using themes in my speech sessions. The past week I have been all about Dr. Seuss. I created an activity with irregular verbs. You could use it for Memory, Go Fish, or form sentences in the present tense/past tense forms. My students have enjoyed playing with this deck this week. Happy Dr. Seuss Day speechies. You can download this resource here for free.

Welcome!
Hello everyone! My name is Allisa Blackburn. I am a speech-language pathologist (SLP). I absolutely love my job minus the mounds of paperwork (a sentiment that I'm sure the vast majority of SLPs agree with). I am starting this blog to post the materials that I create for my fellow SLPs. The fact is, a large part of an SLP's day is spent on direct therapy or paperwork. This hectic schedule doesn't give many the time to create materials for therapy as desired. I hope that this blog will help other speechies out there because I know we are in a pinch for time. So, even though at times my life is centered around my job I am creating a speech blog and accompanying TeachersPayTeachers store. I guess I am a glutton for punishment. So, grab some resources and enjoy How Speech It Is!
